The National Diploma Programme in the Faculty is designed to train young men and women in the Principle, procedures and techniques of Business Studies and Accountancy with the application of Current and Pure Information and Communication Technology.

In this Context, the ND Diplomate should among others, be able to:

Conduct a simple structure survey on any aspect of business and make appropriate recommendations to the authority;
Identify management problems at appropriate levels, analyses them and design management strategies to overcome them;
Interpret and assist in the execution of overall cooperative development policies;
Carry out evaluation of investment proposal and assist in the analysis of investment proposals;
Assist in the preparation of short and long term budget plans.

As an ICT based Tertiary Institution, all these would enable the trained students to contribute to the efficient and effective management students. The content meetsthe NBTE minimum guide curriculum and course specification for the programme should be drawn in course units Its content spelt out in behavioural objectives

These should include:

....A task inventory of what is expected of the diplomates during the supervised industrial experience (as applicable)
....Job curriculum structure and content

The Polytechnic has also evolved a guide syslabus, using NBTE guideline for evolving curricular and course specifications for National Diploma/Certificate Programmes.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR THE PROGRAMME

The entry requirements into National Diploma in Accountancy and Business Administration Programme are as follows: Five Credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), NECO, and its equivalence at not more than two sittings or 4 credits at a
