The new students of the Gateway Polytechnic Saapade have been charged to present themselves in manner that will not tarnish the image of the Polytechnic within and outside the campus.

The Rector of the institution, Dr. Gabriel Babasola Onolaja gave this advice during the 2008/2009 matriculation.

While welcoming the students formally to the Polytechnic, Onolaja remarked: “you are here to be trained, to be educated, to ensure you acquire relevant skills, knowledge and experience necessary to advance the economy , social and culture development of the country and of yourself as an individual and to make you useful to yourself and your family.”
